The International Tennis Hall of Fame preserves and celebrates tennis history to inspire excellence across generations. Our youth programs connect young people to the sport, its legends, and its values, creating opportunities to learn, grow, and build a lifelong connection to tennis.

TeamFAME YOUTH DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
Local | Rhode Island
TeamFAME (Future Aces Modelling Excellence) helps young people build confidence, develop character, and discover pathways to their future. A National Junior Tennis & Learning (NJTL) chapter of the International Tennis Hall of Fame, TeamFAME provides year-round programming at no or low cost for youth in Newport and surrounding Rhode Island communities, prioritizing underserved students.
Our high-engagement afterschool and summer programs and High School Leadership Lab support holistic youth development through consistent participation, caring relationships, and intentional, age-appropriate experiences. Targeted elementary school outreach sparks an early interest in tennis and creates a welcoming entry point into TeamFAME.
Four pillars guide our work: Tennis & Wellness, Character Development, Academic Support & Enrichment, and Community Belonging. Together, these pillars shape a supportive pathway from elementary school through high school, helping students build confidence, develop character, and prepare for their futures.
FIELD TRIP EXERIENCES

Tennis history comes to life through museum visits, interactive experiences, and educational resources for students and youth groups across New England. Participants discover the stories behind the sport and explore connections to their own lives and the world around them.
Our curated experiences draw on museum artifacts, archives, and photographs to spark curiosity across art, science, health, women’s history, civil rights, and Rhode Island history. Through the achievements of legendary players and pivotal moments in tennis, students explore new ideas and find inspiration in perseverance and possibility.
HALL OF FAME TENNIS CLUB JUNIOR PROGRAM
Young players connect with the game on the historic grounds of the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Junior programming offers opportunities to develop tennis skills, build confidence, and enjoy the sport.
BE LEGENDARY

Be Legendary connects young people in tennis programs around the world with the extraordinary players and enduring values that shape the sport. Through engaging lessons and memorable encounters with Hall of Famers, participants explore what it means to be a champion on and off the court.
By bringing values such as integrity, determination, teamwork, and empathy to life, Be Legendary empowers young people to recognize their own potential and put those values into practice. Each experience is designed to deepen their connection to tennis, build confidence, and inspire positive contributions within their communities.
