The Character of a Champion Award in memory of Robyn Holloway honors a TeamFAME student who consistently demonstrates the values of a true champion — on and off the court. This award recognizes a young person who leads with kindness, integrity, compassion, and joy, while uplifting teammates and bringing positivity to the entire TeamFAME community. Through resilience, teamwork, sportsmanship, and a strong work ethic, this student reflects the character and spirit that Robyn embodied so naturally.

As a member of the TeamFAME Advisory Board, Robyn Holloway dedicated countless hours to supporting students, families, and the broader Newport community. Her warmth, laughter, and genuine care made everyone who entered the Chris Evert Learning Center feel welcomed and valued. Newport was Robyn’s happy place, and her generous spirit helped make the International Tennis Hall of Fame a brighter and more joyful place for so many.

Robyn believed deeply in giving back and in the responsibility to help others reach their full potential. She found great joy in encouraging young people, building their confidence, and helping them believe in the possibilities ahead of them. Her legacy continues to live on through the students she inspired and the community she helped strengthen.

This award is presented to a TeamFAME graduate who embodies Robyn’s generous spirit and champion’s heart. This deserving student-athlete leads with empathy, spreads positivity both on and off the court, and inspires those around them through their actions and character. Robyn would be incredibly proud of this student’s accomplishments and excited to cheer them on in their next chapter. We are forever grateful for the lasting impact Robyn Holloway continues to have on the TeamFAME family.

The Character of a Champion Award in memory of Coach Bruce Levine honors a TeamFAME student who leads with kindness, resilience, positivity, and an unwavering commitment to others. This award recognizes a young person who embodies the spirit of mentorship, teamwork, and encouragement — someone who lifts up teammates, brings energy and joy to the community, and approaches every challenge with heart and determination.

Coach Bruce believed deeply in the power of sports to shape character and create opportunity. Known for his humor, warmth, and ability to make learning fun and engaging for young people, Bruce had a special gift for connecting with kids - inspiring them to work hard, support one another, and always lead with integrity and compassion. Bruce understood that being a champion was not only about performance on the court, but also about how you treat others, how you respond to adversity, and how you show up for your community.

This award is presented to a TeamFAME student who reflects Coach Bruce Levine’s generous spirit and love for the game. Whether through leadership, encouragement, perseverance, or service to others, this student represents the values Bruce championed each day.
