Special Delivery! TeamFAME at Home

While COVID-19 has forced a pause on the usual three times weekly gatherings of TeamFAME, the National Junior Tennis & Learning chapter at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, our students and coaches are creatively finding ways to stay connected.

In the past few weeks, it's been through online tutoring, virtual book clubs, and Zoom social gatherings, but we also wanted to make sure the TeamFAME kids are stay tennis ready, active, and engaged. 

TeamFAME Director Marguerite Marano and Coach Clayton Vaughters delivered at-home tennis kits to 15 kids from the program, with more deliveries planned to come. 

Each kit included a tennis racquet, balls, tape to make a net, and other goodies for drills to keep the kids active. The at home kits were made possible thanks to donations of equipment donated from our partners at USTA New England. 

Coach Clayton has rolled out a series of online challenges to get the kids going with their racquets and the students are rising to the challenge every day! 

TeamFAME is the International Tennis Hall of Fame’s chapter of the National Junior Tennis and Learning network, which provides out-of-school activities and resources to promote academic achievement, leadership development, and healthy lifestyles through tennis for kids in the local community.
