Dr. Bonnie Morris, an expert in women's sports history, and Olga Harvey, Chief Strategy and Impact Officer at the Women's Sports Foundation, join the International Tennis Hall of Fame on Thursday, Sept. 21 for a look back on the paradigm-shifting Battle of the Sexes match won by Billie Jean King in 1973. Learn how the event shifted the trajectory of women's sports, propelled King into the global spotlight as a leader and activist, and the progress still in the works today for women's sports globally.

About the Panel
Dr. Bonnie Morris, University of California, Berkeley
Bonnie J. Morris, author of several books about Title IX and women sports history, including What’s the Score: 25 Years of Women’s Sports History, will be in conversation with the Women’s Sports Foundation about the stories of women athletics with a focus on the WTA and other women’s tennis advocates, champions, and coaches.
Morris has taught Sports and Gender for over 20 years at campuses ranging from Georgetown to Semester at Sea. The author of 18 books, she is also a consultant to the Smithsonian and Disney Animation. She is currently on the history faculty at UC Berkeley.
Olga Harvey, Women's Sports Foundation
Olga Harvey is the Chief Strategy and Impact Officer at the Women’s Sports Foundation. In her role, she develops education and advocacy programs designed to build lifelong leadership skills in girls through tennis and other sports.
Previously, she played collegiate tennis at Cornell University and acted as Senior Director of Development for New York Junior Tennis and Learning. She is a member of the Gatorade Women’s Advisory Board. In 2019, Ms. Harvey was recognized as one of the notable women in the business of sports by Crain’s New York. In 2022, she was named as one of the Sports Business Journal’s Power Players in Women’s Sports.
