International Tennis Hall of Fame Announces 2026 Board of Governors Additions


Eight new Board members will begin their terms in January, while three current Board members have been appointed to the 24-member Executive Board. 

The International Tennis Hall of Fame will welcome eight new members to its Board of Governors in 2026, representing diverse backgrounds in tennis, business and beyond. In addition, three current members of the Board have been appointed to the Executive Board.

"On behalf of the entire Board of Governors, I am honored to welcome to our newest members of the Board of Governors for 2026,” said Dan Swan, Chairman of the Board. “These individuals’ diverse experience and dedication to our sport will be invaluable as we continue to advance our mission. The next several years will provide a unique opportunity to preserve the history of tennis, celebrate its champions and inspire excellence to the next generation around the globe. We look forward to their insights and collaboration as the International Tennis Hall of Fame enters an exciting next chapter."

The new Board members and Executive Board appointees include:

Michael Barnello has been appointed to the Executive Board for 2026. He is the Managing Partner and Founder of Badlands Hotel Capital, with decades of experience in hospitality real estate investment. He previously served as President and CEO of LaSalle Hotel Properties and sits on several boards, including the Junior Tennis Champions Center.

Marty Deitchman joins the Board in 2026. He is a retired financial executive and dedicated community leader, with over 30 years of experience in finance, strategy, and nonprofit governance. As CFO of TGS Management Corp, he led the firm’s accounting and operations until 2016. Marty is a longtime supporter of the NJTL of Trenton, N.J.

Madeleine Durkin has been appointed to the Executive Board in 2026. She spent 15 years in business development and consulting roles at Amazon, Accenture, and various startups before shifting her focus to philanthropy. Madeleine currently serves as Board Chair of the Gilbane Family Foundation and is an active Brown University volunteer. She holds a B.A. from Brown and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.

Curtis Glovier has been appointed to the Executive Board in 2026. He is the Chief Investment Officer of Star Mountain Capital, a private credit and equity firm. Previously, he was the CEO of PENSCO Trust Company and a Managing Director at Fortress Investment Group. A graduate of Princeton University and The Wharton School, he currently serves on the Dean's Advisory Council at the University of Tampa.

Tony Godsick returns to the Board in 2026 and is the co-founder and CEO of TEAM8, a sports marketing and investment firm behind the Laver Cup, and has managed the careers of top athletes including Roger Federer, Monica Seles, and Coco Gauff. A former IMG executive, he also serves on several boards and has led TEAM8’s investments in companies like UTR and On.

Anne Hamilton returns to the Board in 2026. She is a renowned philanthropist and volunteer whose global impact has earned her honors such as the Heart of Philadelphia Award and the Liberty Award from the National Liberty Museum. She serves on the boards of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, The Mann Center for the Performing Arts, and the Academy of Music.

Martin “Marty” Mann joins the Board in 2026 and is a venture partner at Cartan Capital and advisor to Lead VC, focusing on sports and health tech startups. A former senior partner at Foley & Lardner and general partner at 20/20 Healthcare Partners, he now serves on the USTA Foundation Advisory Board and champions the ITHF’s Be Legendary program.

Joseph Matarese joins the Board in 2026. He is an entrepreneur, investor, and Executive Partner at Shore Capital Partners, with over 30 years of experience founding and scaling companies across healthcare, life sciences, and consumer brands. He founded Medicus Healthcare Solutions and chairs The MFO Group while serving on several nonprofit boards, including Advantage Kids and the Navy SEAL Museum.

Rob Pohly will join the Board in 2026 and is the Founder and CIO of Samlyn Capital, launched in 2007 after roles at Sigma Capital and Tiger Management. A Yale graduate with a B.A. in History, he is also Co-President of the Yale Tennis Association and a member of Tiebreaker Productions, which promotes live events at Forest Hills Stadium.

Pat Shields joins the Board in 2026. Pat is a former Notre Dame tennis player and has been in the tennis industry since 1992. He and his wife Meg own Fromuth Racquet Sports and Midwest Racquet Sports, serving over 15,000 clients across the country through partnerships with top brands and organizations.

Sandra Simpson joins the Board in 2026. She is a Trustee of the Davenport Family Foundation, supporting causes including youth sports, and serves on the advisory committee of the Be Legendary program. A CFA® Charterholder, she is part of the investment committee at Quantico Asset Management of Wells Fargo Advisors and previously served as a Principal at Rorer Asset Management.

The ITHF’s 2026 Board of Governors will include 80 members, with a 24-member Executive Board.
