The newly elected Hall of Famers then participated in World Tennis Day celebrations around the globe, from London to New York to Los Angeles. Next stop... In 2014, the highest honor in tennis will be presented to former world No. 1 and 6-time Grand Slam champion Lindsay Davenport, Wheelchair Tennis champion and 5-time Paralympic medalist Chantal Vandierendonck, British tennis broadcaster and historian John Barrett, tennis industry leader, Jane Brown Grimes, and legendary tennis coach Nick Bollettieri.

The Class of 2014 was officially announced at the BNP Paribas Showdown press conference in New York City.  The newly elected Hall of Famers celebrated with the stars of that event. Shown below: John McEnroe, Patrick McEnroe, Nick Bollettieri, Mike Bryan, Hall of Fame President Stan Smith, Bob Bryan, Jane Brown Grimes, Andy Murray, and Novak Djokovic.

Meanwhile, at the World Tennis Day Showdown in London, newly elected Hall of Famers John Barrett and Chantal Vandierendonck were honored on Center Court. Also during that event, we presented official Hall of Fame rings to Andre Agassi, Pete Sampras, and Ivan Lendl, who were playing that evening. The rings are being presented to Hall of Famers at tennis events around the world, as a symbol of their Hall of Fame enshrinement.

On the West Coast, Lindsay Davenport celebrated the big news in Tennis Channel's studio, where they were doing all-day coverage of World Tennis Day. Lindsay is an on-air commentator an analyst for the network, and her colleagues showered her with congrats... and balloons. She also sent a special video message to fans who were at Madison Square Garden for the BNP Paribas Showdown.

As the World Tennis Day festivities moved around the globe, the Class of 2014 was honored in a Center Court presentation at Madison Square Garden. Hall of Fame President Stan Smith introduced the class once again, and Nick Bollettieri and Jane Brown Grimes were honored on court. Hall of Famer Monica Seles made a surprise appearance to congratulate her former coach, Nick Bollettieri, and the Class of 2014.
