Nicolas Mahut visits ITHF Gallery at US Open to present Wimbledon memorabilia
At the US Open on August 31, Nicolas Mahut presented the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum with the racquet that he used to play the longest match at tennis history, an epic 11 hour and 5 minute heartbreaker during Wimbledon. The racquet will be displayed at the Museum at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, which chronicles the history of tennis from its 14th century origins through present-day notable moments. Mahut’s apparel from the match is already on display at the Museum.
The racquet Mahut presented is a Wilson Six One 95 that used on day two of the match at Wimbledon.
The presentation will took place at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum Gallery at the US Open, which is located in the SmashZone at the Indoor Tennis Center. During the US Open, the gallery is featuring a special exhibit entitled Tennis Twosomes: Doubles Teams Across the Eras, which highlights the best doubles teams in history.
