Why name a seat?
The Newport Casino is the birth place of American tournament tennis, with the first U.S. National Lawn Tennis Championships being played on the grass courts here in 1881. Today, the Newport Casino is home to the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum, a non-profit institution dedicated to preserving the history of tennis, inspiring and encouraging junior tennis development, providing a landmark for tennis enthusiasts worldwide, and enshrining tennis heroes and heroines with the highest honor in the sport of tennis- induction into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. Newport continues to be an important stop in professional tennis and is home to the only ATP World Tour tournament played on grass courts in the Americas – the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships for the Van Alen Cup.

By naming a seat you will be playing a role in the success of the $15.7 million Match Point Campaign which is designed to raise the level of excellence across all areas of the Hall of Fame. Along with an expanded campus, new tennis facilities, a fully renovated museum, and other enhancements to campus-wide amenities, the existing south stands will be replaced with new aluminum stands featuring individual pull-down seats. The new stands will greatly enhance the visitor experience by providing a more comfortable seating option at center court.

Dedicate a piece of tennis history by naming a seat for a family member, friend, coach or teammate, or in memory of a special person in your life who loved the game.

Can I choose my seat? 
Approximate seat locations can be requested and will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Where available, rows or blocks of seats may be requested and named. The International Tennis Hall of Fame will not be able to guarantee you can purchase tickets in your named seat(s) for the Hall of Fame Tennis Championships or other events held on center court.

How will I be recognized?
A plaque with your personal dedication will be mounted on your seat(s).  The plaques can accommodate a message of 35 characters including spaces. The naming rights to the seat will be for the lifetime of the new stadium seating structure or 50 years, whichever is longer. You also may be listed in future Match Point Capital Campaign donor recognition publications, both electronic and print. Donors of $10,000 or more will be included on a donor recognition plaque to be installed on site at the International Tennis Hall of Fame.

How do I make my gift?
Simply complete the Name A Seat form and indicate the dedication to appear on your seat plaque. You can pay by personal check, cash or credit card.  You may also make a gift using appreciated securities – please contact the Development Office for transfer instructions. The International Tennis Hall of Fame is a 501(c)3 organization. Seat naming gifts are fully tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
