The International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum is now offering two exciting new school field trip programs for grades 3-6, designed to deliver a comprehensive educational experience correlated to Rhode Island school curriculum standards while enjoying a highly engaging field trip to our museum with its historic buildings and grounds. As part of our Kids Free program, these programs are no charge to your school (including bus transportation) to all students under the age of 16!
Our two programs explore the art and architecture of the Newport Casino (home to the International Hall of Fame & Museum) and its role in the social and cultural life of Newport's Gilded Age society, as well as the history of tennis, focusing on math, science, nutrition, and health. The two programs are as follows:
- Fun and Games in the Gilded Age focuses on the art and architecture of the Newport Casino and its role in the social and cultural life of Newport' Gilded Age during this unique period of American history.
- Time for Tennis explores the history of tennis (including its champions), the math and science behind tennis, as well as the sport's role in maintaining good health and nutrition.
