Get Involved

Do you love tennis, history or meeting new people?  If so, then get involved with the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum.

Since 1954, the ITHF&M has relied on and benefited greatly from the dedication and knowledge of hundreds of volunteers and interns. The Museum offers opportunities for volunteers and interns to assist the staff in daily Museum activities, including researching collections and people, collections management, and educational programming. Working with the staff allows individuals to help the ITHF&M fulfill its mission and bring the legacy of tennis and the rich history of the Newport Casino to thousands of visitors.

Volunteer Opportunities at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum

Volunteering at the ITHF&M is an engaging and educational opportunity for individuals to be involved with the game of tennis and to work in a National Historic Landmark. Volunteers come in contact with the rich and vivid history of tennis as expressed through fine and decorative art, trophies, clothing, memorabilia, film and video footage and oral histories, as well as documents pertaining to the history of the Newport Casino from the Gilded Age and the many social and sporting activities that have taken place on site.

Intern Opportunities at the International Tennis Hall of Fame & Museum

Interning at the ITHF&M is a wonderful opportunity for undergraduate and graduate students to obtain comprehensive training in the fields of museum studies, archival administration, library management, educational and public program development, historic preservation, video production, and historical scholarship. The internship program is project-oriented and designed to coincide with student interests and professional goals.  Working with a member of the museum staff, all interns receive one-on-one attention in their chosen fields.
