When Vinnie Richards was only 15, he won his first of five U.S. National Doubles Championships with none other than Bill Tilden, establishing himself as the youngest male player to win a major title of any kind. Also victorious at the French Championships and Wimbledon in doubles, Richards was a three time U.S. Indoor Singles Championships winner as well. Moreover, he took two gold medals at the 1924 Olympic Games. The following year, he won his first of four U.S. Pro Championships.
