Vinnie Richards once described Karel Koželuh as “the Fred Astaire of the courts, with faultless ground strokes and a safecracker’s touch at the net.” Koželuh was a revered champion in the professional game during the 1920s and 1930s. He swept six French Professional Singles Championships in a row from 1925-30 and won that prestigious event again in 1932. He was a three time U.S. Pro Singles winner and also took top honors at the European Professional Tour Championships and the World Professional Championships.
