A top-of-the-line German competitor, Hans Nüsslein accomplished prodigiously during his prime, but his exploits were not fully appreciated since he won his biggest titles away from the big Grand Slam championships. As a professional, he was barred from the majors, but he took the French Pro Championships twice, won the London Professional Championships once, and captured the World Pro Championships on four occasions. His game was technically sound, devoid of serious weakness, and immaculate in many ways.
