A star player for the University of Wisconsin tennis team from 1916 to 1918, Arthur Nielsen won the National Father-and-Son Grass Court Championship twice. In addition to participating in the 1918 U.S. National Singles Championships, Nielsen made immense contributions to the game financially. He gave an estimated $3,000,000 and countless hours of his time to the game that he loved, placing great value on everything that tennis had to offer players of all ages.
